OAKS ACADEMIC TECHNOLOGY AWARD

Award Overview: The Oaks Academic Technology Award recognizes the innovative use of technology to transform teaching and learning at Washington State University. The award winner receives $3,000 in faculty development funds distributed to their academic department.
My Work: Much of my work has revolved around providing resources for student success. With leadership support, I hired lab assistants trained with Adobe, set up a virtual mentoring platform, created a peer mentoring system, and implemented reminders and information about the Adobe Labs.
During the semester I received this award, we saw exponential increase in both lab and peer mentoring attendance. We also now have an equitable solution that assists both our on campus as well as our online students.
