I love old things. Better yet, I love old things in nature.
I took these shots at Nelson Ghost Town, just outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. It was pure heaven- a whole bunch of old cars all over the place in the desert. Seriously, I was like a kid at Christmas. After attending Photoshop World in Las Vegas, I was full of ideas and wanted to try them out.
One of my favorite parts was playing with my speedlight. I tried new angles, and really tried to bring out my subject and allow the beautiful sunset to still be part of the image. I also tried for some dramatic effects- and got exactly what I wanted. I think I may have looked a little comical, balancing my speedlight on a stand in one hand while taking the shot with the other. 🙂
